There are already six times that the Spanish national team calls our player to fill women´s junior team for the international events. Far away are the first seasons where the players went to these competitions scared of big teams on this sport and they have settled down a good position to compete face to face their opponents

The national team (María Gómez, Lydia Vallés, Cármen Pérez and Ana Vázquez) knew how to recover from a hard beginning with defeats againts Czech Republic and Italy. They added two consecutive wins against a second team from Czech Republic and Hungary. A very hard work on Saturday that gave them the pass to play-off.

But…they wanted more, and once again, against Czech Republic, they did a very good work. However, the local team won and Spanish team got a fifth position.

These good results will encourage our player for the next event in the Junior World Championship in Lohja (Finland) from 2-10 January. Previously, they will play Ciudad de Jaca Bonspiel (1-3 December) to keep training.

Good luck Lydia!
