Next weekend, Curling and party will come together in our streets and, of course at Bakh, with a new edition of San Prudencio Curling Cup 2019. In this event, the sport finds its nicest side and competition get involved in the social party of city´s most traditional date.
Ongoing spring and summertime looking over the horizon have a special meaning for alaveses people. A changing moment to enjoy longer days, sunny afternoons and take out the coats. Something similar happens to people that plays winter sports. Soon, we will leave the ice goes out and the brushes stop rubbing to make the stones go to their place but, to make the change lighter, our body wants some party first.
This is how one more year, Harrikada Club organises San Prudencio Curling Cup ´19. This year we have 18 teams from far and nearby places. We have people from Scotland (East Kilbridge CC), Canada, Germany or Russia (Rankin Team Oreka), others from France (Valence Curling Club), Andorra(Acura) or Monaco (Bruno Georges Catelin). They will share ice with usual people from León (León Curling Club), Valladolid (Hielo Pisuerga), San Sebastián (Txuri-Berri Gorena), Jaca (Bravas Jacetanas and Jaca Picapiedras), Catalonia (Puigcerdà Pànxing Moxo and Divì) and Vitoria-Gasteiz (Curling Iceberg). All of them together with the green wave of Harrikada that, of course, will have the beginners from our city´s course: Harrieskola Curlstore. Fundación Vital, Vitrogres, Nekane Says, Café Pub Hirusta and Mecanizados Iriarte will be the teams of the host club.
Club´s excitement is on Bakh´s ice-rink open to everybody that wants to learn about this sport. The bonspiel will start on Friday 26 at 15:00 and will go along Saturday and Sunday. The final game will be broadcasted by streaming at 15:00 through club´s website https://spcc.harrikada.eus. Let´s see who wins now after last year´s Rilanders from Finland!!
