Harrikada four teams finish their participation at Curling Mixed National Championship with Harrikada Bar Hirusta at 6th position, close to qualify for play-off.

The official championship season took its end with Mixed National Championship. There were 11 teams fighting for the tittle at Jaca´s Palacio de Hielo Ice rink. Four of those eleven teams were from Harrikada Club. This means a big support to curling sport in the lack support offered to minority activities.

Harrikada Vitrogres (Baltasar Moreno, Belén Bárcena, Íñigo Ruiz Alvarado and Nagore Ramírez de la Piscina Minay) started winning by minimum to Harrikada OrekaIT (Oihane Ruiz, Rubén Martínez, Leire Carasa and Javier Carasa). Since then, they didn´t find enough nick in the rivals from Red group (Txuri-Berri Cafés Aitona, Jaca, Barcelona-Navarro and Val d’Arán).

Similar luck had Harrikada OrekaIT, that finished the championship without a victory relief. They had very close scoreboards like on the game against Jaca that got the game until the sixth end.

On the Green group, Harrikada Bar Hirusta (Iraitz Goldarazena, Lydia Vallés, Josu Perlacia and Lydia Garaigordobil) started the championship with better feelings than Harrikada Fundación Vital (Javier Goldarazena, Josune Albisu, José Miguel Vallés and Toñi Rodriguez) getting the victory, that would need to ratify against the rest of opponents. A defeat vs SVC Iparpolo in the last end incite ours to repeat victory against Barcelona-Martín. The final game vs. Txuri-Berri Gorena became definitive to get the pass to play-off. In an intense game where the recovery was close, it was just one stone that decided the qualification for Txuri-Berri Gorena.

Harrikada Fundación Vital neither got victories at the end of Round Robin but they were always fighting their games.

So this is how Harrikada took part in a National Championship that saw once again how Txuri-Berri Cafés Aitona win vs. SVC Iparpolo (9-2) and Txuri-Berri Gorena on the 3rd place beating Barcelona-Navarro 6-5.

Congratulations to the champions and all the teams for their fair play, specially our Harrikada teams.

Therefore, there is only one date to finish this season. It is San Prudencio Curling Cup, 26-28 April in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country. We will host national, European and North American teams to face Harrikada green wave.
